Tower Defence

The Rite: Tower Defence

A golden kingdom stood in the desert until its high priests reached for the one thing no mortal should hold — dominion over death. In the deepest chamber of the Great Pyramid they performed the ceremony they called The Rite, and it worked. The boundary broke. The priests rose first, and their followers after them, hollow and endless. You are the last Keeper. The gems still hold their power. The towers still remember what they were for.

Game Features

Towers Built From Shapes

You do not pick a tower from a menu. You are given a grid and a collection of gems with interlocking shapes, and what you can fit inside the grid is what the tower becomes. A tight fit is a stronger tower.

The Gem Forge

Gems you no longer need are not wasted. Feed them to a gem you want to keep and their power transfers into it. The exchange is fixed and predictable — no gambling, no wasted sacrifice.

Twenty-Five Maps

Every map is built by hand rather than generated, each with its own paths and its own problem to solve. The dead come as skeletons, zombies, ghouls and witches, and behind them all stands the Overlord.

A Bestiary Worth Reading

Every enemy you meet and every artifact you find writes itself into the archive, with what the Keepers recorded about it before the kingdom fell. Available in English and Russian.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is The Rite: Tower Defence released?

The Rite is in preparation for release on Google Play and is not available to download yet. This page will carry the store link as soon as it goes live.

Will The Rite: Tower Defence be free to play?

Yes. The Rite will be free to download and play, with optional in-app purchases of in-game currency and chests. Nothing in the game is locked behind a purchase.

What makes the tower building different?

Towers are not chosen from a list. Each one is a grid you fill with gems that have interlocking shapes, the way puzzle pieces fit together. Which gems you own, and how well they pack into the grid, decides what the tower can do — so two players with the same gems can still build very different defences.

Does The Rite: Tower Defence have advertisements?

No. The Rite contains no advertisements, and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. You can play as a guest without providing any personal information — see our Privacy Policy for exactly what is collected.
